Fully Funded Event in China: The Yenching Global Symposium

The Yenching Global Symposium (YGS) is an annual event that brings together people from different fields and across generations with a common interest: China. This year, the three-day event will take place in March 2019 and will comprise engaging speakers and interactive events on the topic of Wǒmen: Retelling the China Stories. This conference will feature prominent international scholars and leading young professionals from a wide range of fields. The deadline is December 8, 2018.

The Yenching Global Symposium is hosted by the Yenching Academy at Peking University, Beijing, China. The Symposium will take place on March 29 - 31, 2019. Delegates will arrive by the evening of March 28th.There will be approximately 200 delegates from all over the world.

As a delegate, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences with innovation while collaboarting with others to generate fruitful exchange and construct frameworks for action on China's most challenging issues.

Organizers cover all expenses of your round-trip flight, accommodation, and meals for the duration of the Symposium.

Main criteria:

Young professionals holding a Bachelor's degree or higher by December 31, 2018, and graduate students (post-graduate/Master's degree and higher) are eligible to apply to the YGS. In countries where Bachelor's and Master's degrees are combined, delegates need to have been enrolled at a university for more than four years, i.e., be at least in your fifth year of studies.

Application results will be sent out in early January. Accepted delegates will receive formal invitation letters to attend. A CV and the completed online application form are required to be considered for participation.
